It’s possible to give external users access to other menu items, apps, and experiences, such as profiles and the directory.

Menu item Manager

(Formerly known as Section manager)

A menu item manager can create, edit and delete menu items and sub menu items They can add the title, description, image, attachments, links, tags and choose to restrict access to members of the menu item. They can also add and remove members as well as give each member their role or roles. 

Perhaps most significantly, a menu item manager can edit the build and layout of a menu item. They do this by adding and configuring widgets in the regions of a chosen layout. All content is displayed through widgets, which can be configured to display the content you want to display in the design and order you want to display it.

They can also access and apply templates to menu items (landing pages) or content type pages

Menu item previewer

(Formerly known as Section previewer)

• Enable and disable preview mode 
• View unpublished menu items
• View unpublished content types
• View unpublished menu item content types displayed in widgets

• Makes ‘Authored by’ an editable field in content types  (News and Blogs)
• Change the author of content
• Makes ‘Authored by’ an editable field in comments
• Change the author of comments

Note: The Ghostwriter role needs to be assigned in conjunction with the Blogger role or a Content publishing role

Access, create, publish and delete:

• Access all published blogs in the Blogs app
• Access published blogs displayed throughout the site in widgets
• Create, publish and delete your own blogs

‘giving a user the redacted user role does not give the user themselves any additional permissions

i.e. if the user has org user permissions they will continue to have only org user permissions.

The redacted user role causes the user profile to become unfindable in the system

• They will not appear in search
• Their name may appear as an author of content but when you attempt to access their profile X will happen

The use cases for redacted users previously have been:

• Hiding high profile individuals contact details’

Access, review, manage and delete:

• Ideas app in Administration
• All ideas created in the Ideas app
• Idea statuses
• Idea categories
• Ideas submission form
• All Ideas admin comments
• You can also export ideas

• All queries created in the Queries app

Access

• Must be able to access all groups regardless of whether they are a member of the group or not
• Must be able to access the group landing page
• Must be able to access the group landing page dashboard
• Must be able to access the dashboard, members and docs area for each group regardless of whether they are a member of that group or not
• Must be able to access ‘Manage Groups’ page
• Must be able to access In Place Editor / Customise Page feature on groups landing page
• Must be able to access groups category management page at /invotra/admin/app-settings/group-category

Create/Edit/Delete

• Must be able to create post/polls/comments/docs in groups if THEY ARE a member of that group
• Must NOT be able to create post/polls/comments/docs in groups if THEY ARE NOT a member of that group
• Must be able to edit posts/polls/comments/docs in all groups regardless of whether they are a member of the group or not.
