Adding internal and external linksÂ
How to add internal and external links to a section or content type?
There are two steps you must take to add and display internal or external links. The first involves the internal links and external links widgets. The second is the addition of the links in the edit content screen of your section or content type.

Step 1. Adding the related content and related external links widgets to a section.
Relevant roles: Webmaster, Section Manager, Content Layout Manager
1. Go to section
2. Select ‘Edit’, ‘Widgets’
3. In the appropriate region, select the ‘Add widget’ icon
4. In the Widget Library, search for ‘internal links’
5. Select the ‘Content fields’ category and the internal links widget
6. Change the title if you need to and set heading weight
7. Leave label as pane title
8. In select a formatter, select ‘Internal links (published items)’
9. Select ‘Continue’
10. Select ‘Add’
Repeat this same process to add the widget for external links.

Step 2a. Adding external links to edit the screen of a content type.
Relevant roles: Section Manager, Publisher, Editor, Author
1. Go to your content type
2. Select ‘Edit’, ‘Content’
3. Scroll down past the WYSIWYG until you see “type”, select link from the drop down
4. In external links, add the title of the link and then the URL
5. Select ‘Add another link’ if you want to add another link
6. Select ‘Save’

Relevant roles: Section Manager, Publisher, Editor, Author
1. Go to your content type
2. Select ‘Edit’, ‘Content’
3. Scroll down to the links and content section after the WYSIWYG.
4. In internal links, select the content type you want to link
5. Type the title of your content type to search for and select it when it appears in a list
Note: Your title must be accurateÂ
6. Change the title if you wantÂ
7. Select ‘Add another link’ if you want to add another link
8. Select ‘Save’
