What's New

The intranet wide update in August 2023 includes significant improvements and changes. 

 In addition to there being new features and functionalities there have been some changes made to current features on the intranet. This can be seen with Directory types and so some of the changes that have occurred are:

      • Team Chart – team chart has now been relocated within the ‘Teams’ dropdown of directory. Once this has been selected, it can be found in the ‘Teams Chart’ tab
      • Org Chart – org chart has now been relocated from the ‘Directory’ dropdown to being found within ‘People’ under ‘Directory’. Once ‘People’ has been selected, select the ‘Org Chart’ tab.

 

Steps
  1. Locate “Profile icon” in “Workbar
  2. Select on the image in that ‘Workbar
  3. Select ‘View profile’ option from the profile menu
  4. You will see your ‘Personal Profile’; you can add an image as well as general information
    1. ‘Contact info’
    2. “About me”
    3. ‘Groups’
    4. ‘Badges’
    5. etc.

Adding a summary to content

Viewing your own Activity

You will be able to view your ‘Personal Activity

Steps
  1. Locate “Profile icon” in “Workbar
  2. Select on the image in that ‘Workbar
  3. Select ‘View Profile’ option from the ‘Profile Menu
  4. Select the “Activity” tab
  5. You will be redirected to your “Activity” screen,
  6. Select to View your ‘Activity’ via 
    1. ‘All’
    2. ‘People’
    3. ‘Groups’ 
    4. ‘Content’
  7. Select the drop down arrow on a card in order to see:
    1. ‘The attachment count’
    2. ‘The no. of comments’
    3. ‘The no. of likes’
  8. On the left hand side of the screen you can
  9. Sort By:
    1. ‘Forever’
    2. ‘Last 30 days’
    3. ‘Last 7 days’
    4. ‘Yesterday’
    5. ‘Today’
    6. ‘Date range’
  10. Filter by:
    1. ‘Category’
  11. Select “Apply

Viewing someone else’s profile

You will be able to view another ‘User’s Profile’.

Steps
  1. Through using the “Search Bar”, “Org Chart” and “Groups” locate a user whose profile you want to view
  2. Select the user’s ‘Display Card
  3. You will be redirected to their ‘Profile Page
  4. Here you will be able to see:
    1. ‘Their badges’
    2. ‘Their role’
    3. ‘Any contact info’
    4. ‘Their “about me” section’
    5. ‘Their relation to the Org chart’

Following another user

You will be able to follow another user(s).

Steps
  1. Through using the “Search Bar”, “Org Chart” and “Groups” locate a user whose profile you want to follow
  2. Select the user’s display card
  3. You will be redirected to their ‘Profile Page
  4. A “Follow” button will appear underneath their name and profile pic if you are not already following them.
  5. Select “Follow
  6. This will change to “Following” and their interactions will appear in your following tab.

Following tab

You will be able to view who you are ‘Following’.

Steps
  1. Locate “Profile icon” in ‘Workbar
  2. Select on the image in that ‘Workbar
  3. Select ‘View Profile’ option from the profile menu
  4. You will be redirected to your ‘Personal Profile
  5. Select the “Following” tab
  6. Here you will be able to see all of the people that you have chosen to follow in one ‘Location

Edit Profile

You will change the information displayed on your ‘Profile

Steps
    1. From the ‘Workbar’ select your ‘Profile
    2. Select ‘View Profile’ option from the ‘Profile Menu
    3. On the profile homepage select the “Edit profile” tab
    4. Select between “Personal” and “Professional Tab
  • Personal tab:
      1. Input personal information such as ‘Name’ and ‘DOB’ 
      2. Add ‘Profile Image
      3. Input ‘Contact Info
      4. Add any ‘Social Media
      5. Add to “About Me” section
  • Professional tab:
    1. Add your manager
    2. Your role grade along with your organisational ID
    3. Input your job role
    4. Add any badges you may have
    5. Add your organisational skills
    6. Add team
    7. Add location
  1. Select “Save

Profile Authentication

You will be able to access your account settings from your ‘Profile’ in order to access ‘Authentication’, ‘Apps’ and ‘Time Zone’.

Steps

 

Access Account Settings

  1. From the ‘Workbar’ select your ‘Profile
  2. Select ‘View Profile’ option from the profile menu
  3. On the profile homepage select the “Account Settings” tab

 

Managing Authentication

  1. Select  “authentication
  2. Input your email address
  3. Select whether or not to hide it
  1. Select “Save

 

Managing Apps

  1. Select “Manage apps
  2. Choose whether or not to connect the apps

 

Managing Time Zone

  1. Select “Time Zone
  2. Choose your selected ‘Time Zone
  3. Select “Save

Profile status

You will be able to adjust your ‘Profile Status

Steps
  1. From the ‘Workbar’ select your profile
  2. Select ‘View Profile’ option from the ‘Profile Menu
  3. On the profile homepage select the “Account settings” tab
  4. Select “Status” tab
  5. Select “Active” or “Blocked
  6. Select “Save

Profile global roles

Site admins will be able to manage ‘Global Roles’ for site users

Steps
  1. From the ‘Workbar’ select ‘Profile
  2. Select ‘View Profile’ option from the ‘Profile Menu
  3. On the profile homepage select the “Account Settings” tab
  4. Select “Global roles” tab
  5. Select appropriate roles
  6. Select “Save

Profile time zone

You will be able to select the ‘Time Zone’ you operate in

Steps
  1. From the ‘Workbar’ select your ‘Profile
  2. Select ‘View Profile’ option from the ‘Profile Menu
  3. On the profile homepage select the “Account Settings” tab
  4. Select “Timezone” tab
  5. Select appropriate timezone from dropdown 
  6. Select “Save
