Editing content types
In this short video, we’re just going to look at how to go about editing an existing piece of content. So as you can see on this page, we are looking at this page view, you can see the actual content we’re going ahead and we’re going to go and edit this.
So we select the edit button in the right-hand corner, and we can go down to content. So what we’re looking at this edit screen, you can see all our fields on the left-hand side and our organizational and publishing options on the right-hand side.
So let me go ahead and change a simple thing, like a title, and go ahead and just save. And I’ve got two options.
One is I could save and close. Would you take me back to my page view where we just started or save and continue editing, which is what I’m going to do now.
What this means is I’ve saved the change. I’ve just made. What I can do is move on to updating other parts of this page.
We’re now being the widgets options. If you do have these options, you’ll be able to change some of the widgets on this page and how some of the content displays.
If you do not have this option, you’re likely to only see content workflow or revisions or template content, workflow revisions.
So I’m going to go back to content tab. And again, we can make further changes without having to go back to the page view to do so.
I decided actually, I’m not going to add X extra S to that title. And I’m going to go ahead again and save, save, and close and come back to my page view.
