Commenting Guidance

 Add, Edit & Delete a Comment
Steps
- Locate a piece of content that you would like to either ‘Add‘, ‘Edit‘ or ‘Delete‘ a comment.
- For example:

- A message on ‘Message wall‘
- A ‘Blog‘
- A ‘News‘ article

- For example:
- Select the ‘Content‘
- To ‘Add‘
- Select the box located underneath the content labelled ‘Add a comment here‘
- A ‘WYSIWYG‘ may appear to allow you to style your ‘Comment‘
- Input your ‘Comment‘
- Select ‘Post‘
Select post
- your ‘Comment‘ will now appear below the ‘Content‘
- To ‘Edit‘
- Locate a piece of ‘Content‘ that you have added a ‘Comment‘ to
- Locate your ‘Comment‘
- Select the ‘Three dots‘ to the right of the ‘Comment‘
- Select ‘Edit‘
Edit post
- You will now be able to alter your ‘Comment‘
- Select ‘Post’
- To ‘Delete‘
- Locate a piece of ‘Content‘ that you have added a comment to
- Locate your ‘Comment‘
- Select the ‘Three dots‘ to the right of the ‘Comment‘
- Select ‘Delete‘
Note: Only users with select permissions will be able to ‘Delete’ other users’ comments
 Reply to an Existing Comment
Steps
- Locate a ‘Comment‘ that you would like to reply to
- Select the ‘Reply icon‘ located at the bottom left of the ‘Comment‘
- Select the ‘Reply icon‘

- Select the box labelled ‘Add a comment here‘
- A ‘WYSIWYG‘ may appear to allow you to style your comment
- Input your ‘Comment‘
- Select ‘Post‘
- your ‘Comment‘ will now appear below the ‘Content‘ as a reply
 Save a Comment
Steps
- Locate a ‘Comment‘ that you would like to save
- Select the ‘Three dots‘ to the right of the ‘Comment‘
- From the ‘Overflow‘ menu select ‘Bookmark‘
Comment Overflow Menu
Steps
- Locate another users ‘Comment‘ that you would like to interact with
- Select the ‘Three dots‘ to the right of the ‘Comment‘
- From the ‘Overflow‘ menu select from any of:
- ‘Report‘
- ‘Bookmark‘
- ‘Copy link‘
- ‘Evaluate‘ – (Idea admin)
- ‘Approve‘ an unpublished comment – (Moderator)
- Locate one of your ‘Comments‘ that you would like to interact with
- Select the ‘Three dots‘ to the right of the ‘Comment‘
- From the ‘Overflow‘ menu select from any of:
- ‘Edit‘
- ‘Delete‘
 Like a Comment
Steps
- Locate a ‘Comment‘ that you would like to ‘Like‘
- Select the ‘Thumbs up‘ icon to ‘Like‘ the comment located next to the ‘Reply‘ arrow
- The ‘Icon‘ will turn grey
Like a post
- In the bottom right of the ‘Comment’ select the ‘Thumbs up‘ icon to view who has liked the ‘Comment‘ and how many
 View number of existing comments
Steps
- Locate a piece of ‘Content‘ that has comments attached to it
- Navigate to the bottom of the ‘Content‘
- Below the ‘Content’ you will see a heading labelled ‘Comments‘ with a number within the brackets
- The number within the brackets indicates the amount of ‘Comments‘ linked with the ‘Content‘
- E.G:Â Comments (5)
- This would indicate there are 5 comments relating to this ‘Content‘
- View number of ‘Replies‘ to a comment

- Locate a ‘Comment‘ below a piece of ‘Content‘
- Below the ‘Comment’ select ‘View replies (1)‘
- Note: the number within the brackets indicates the number of replies. In this instance it would be 1 reply to the original comment
- A dropdown of replies will appear that have replied to the ‘Comment‘
- Select ‘Hide replies‘

 View Attachments
Steps
- Locate a ‘Comment‘ that has an ‘Attachment’
- Select the ‘Attachment‘ within the ‘Comment‘
- You will be ‘Redirected‘ to the ‘Content‘ that has been attached
 Report Comments
Steps
- Locate a ‘Comment‘ that you would like to ‘Report‘ that has been ‘Commented‘ by another user
- To the right of the ‘Comment‘ select the ‘Three dots‘
- Select ‘Report‘ from the dropdown
- Input your reasoning for ‘Flagging‘ the ‘Comment‘
- Select ‘Report‘
