What’s New

The intranet wide update in August 2023 includes significant improvements and changes. 

In addition to there being new features and functionalities there have been changes made to the current areas on the intranet. Some of the changes surrounding Social Apps (Message Wall, Ideas, Groups, Queries & Blogs) are:

Admin Tab – The admin tab is now accessible from within the section of the social app. Here you can now administer:

  • The category (Message Wall, Ideas, Groups & Queries)
  • Comment options
  • App Icon

Dashboard – Dashboard chart headers have been updated to have standardised labeling across social apps

Home

View the Queries ‘Homepage’ 

 

Steps
    1. Navigate to the ‘Workbar’ and select ‘Apps ’option and then ‘Queries

      Select apps

       

    2. You will be directed to the Queries ‘Home’ tab
    3. From here you can:
      • See the Queries home screen 
      • View all published Queries
      • Search for ‘Queries
      • Create a ‘Query
      • Dashboard’ tab
      • Manage queries’ tab
      • Admin’ tab 
      • Save an ideas to read/refer to it later
      • Like a ‘Query’ 
      • View all current comments on queries
      • View number of likes each query has and names of people who have liked that ‘Query’

Steps
    1. Navigate to the ‘Workbar‘ and select ‘Apps’ and then ‘Queries
    2. You will be directed to the Query ‘Home’ tab

      Queries sort by

    3. Select the ‘Query’ you would like to read
    4. You will be directed to that ‘Query‘. From here you can:
      • Read the ‘Query
      • Leave a comment – If you start adding a comment, you will see the WYSIWYG appear which allows you to insert an image, link, table, horizontal line, format and style the text. Click ‘Post’ to post comment 
      • Save’ query
      • Like’ query
      • View previous comments left on the query
      • See the number of likes the query currently has and the names of people who have liked the query
      • View the queries history – showing the field, status and the date it was last updated

 

 

 

Filter results

Filter results to see certain ‘Queries

Steps
    1. Navigate to the ‘workbar‘ and select ‘Apps’ and then ‘Queries
    2. You will be directed to the queries ‘Home’ tab
    3. Navigate to the left hand side of the  screen if you want to filter results
    4. Sort by:
      1. Order’ 
      2. Created date
    5. Filter by:
      1. Category’ 
      2. Author’ 
    6. Select “Apply

Create Query

Create new ‘Query’ 

Steps
    1. Navigate to the ‘Workbar’ and select ‘Apps’ option  and then ‘Queries
    2. You will be directed to the queries ‘Home’ tab
    3. Select the  ‘+Create’ option
    4. You will be directed to the ‘Create Blog’ screen. From here:
      • Add the ‘Title’ for your blog
      • Add a ‘Summary’ 
    1. Once completed, select ‘Save’ or “Save as draft” 

Edit Query

Edit existing ‘Query’

Steps
    1. Navigate to the ‘Workbar’ and select ‘Apps’ and then ‘Query
    2. You will be directed to the Ideas ‘Home’ tab
    3. Select the query that you would like to edit
    4. Select ‘Edit’ then “content
    5. You will be directed to the ‘Edit Query’ screen. From here you can update the existing query 
    6. Once completed select ‘Update’ 

Dashboard

View the queries ‘Dashboard

Steps
  1. Navigate to the ‘Workbar’ and select ‘Apps’ and then ‘Queries
  2. You will be directed to the ‘Queries’ homepage 
  3. Select the ‘Dashboard’ tab

  4. If you would like to, sort by “Time range
  5. You will be directed to the dashboard. From here you can view numbers on:
  • Query counter
  • Queries by location 
  • Queries by team
  • Queries by category
  • Queries by status

 

Admin

View the ‘Admin’ screen

Steps
    1. Navigate to the ‘Workbar’ and select ‘Apps’ and then ‘Queries
    2. You will be directed to the ‘Queries’ homepage 
    3. Select the ‘Admin’ tab

    4. You will be directed to the ‘Queries admin’ screen. From here you can access the following tabs:
      • Query category
        • Add “Idea category
      • Query status
        • Add “Idea status
      • Comment options
        • Activate comments’ – Users can add comments to ideas 
        • Activate WYSIWYG editor’ – Users can style the text for comments
      • App icon’ 
        • Select ‘Choose file’ and select image you would like displayed as app icon  
      1. Select ‘Save
